Hello,
So, there's been a lot going on lately. Although, I'm sure it's the same deal for anyone who has just moved into college no longer than two months ago. And despite the regular stress of homework and classes, it's amazing here. Being here at UMBC now, I really couldn't imagine going to anywhere else. I love the campus size; it's compact, yet there's still that sense that it's a well-established college. I love all my classes, too. That may sound weird but each one has its interesting subjects. I'm taking English, Psychology, Computer Science, and Calculus. The work load isn't enough to make me pull my hair out but it's still a challenge, getting used to that high school to college switch.
Classes aside, Ultimate Frisbee takes up the other majority of my time. However, I couldn't imagine any better way to spend my time. I started playing with the team over the summer every week. The team didn't have the biggest turn out over the summer though, which made me skeptical about joining. But once everyone had moved back in, frisbee players from all over started showing up and I was really looking forward to the season. I still can't wait until the spring, though. The majority of the team is seniors and rookies so after a year of training, we should have a very solid team. For now, there's definitely a lot of work that can be done, myself included.
We have a tournament up at the University of Delaware this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it because it's going to be cold and rainy, the best weather to play some zone defense (my favorite defense). If you're not exactly sure what that is, then there's this wonderful thing called the internet with near-infinite information. But yeah, zone defense, it's wonderful. If every player is able to stay aware on the field and shut down the easy throws, then zone is beautiful. So I will definitely be looking forward to that this weekend. I'll post again after the weekend with other things going on and such.

Introduction
Hello and welcome!
I suppose we'll start with an introduction. My name is Clarkson or Church (Whichever you prefer), current student at UMBC, a wonderful college located in the bustling city of Catonsville, MD, just a minute away from Baltimore. I'm majoring in Computer Science here and loving it. I've been interested in programming and computers since I've been able to be interested in things. I enjoy playing video games from time to time and I love Ultimate Frisbee. I play for UMBC's team, Booya Ultimate. Frisbee has been my passion since my Junior year of high school. I used to run Indoor/Outdoor Track and Cross Country until I realized those weren't actually sports.
So, that's basically me in a nutshell. Now as for this blog, its mostly a construct of my boredom and excuse to not do homework. Basically, its a smorgasbord of my ideas and thoughts on random topics that fancy my liking. That said, if you're not an advocate of ultimate, video games, or any of my opinions on a variety of subjects, then you would probably be better suited somewhere else.
Well, that about wraps up the introduction. I'll probably update again soon with what's going on lately.
